Re: Has the craft-beer revolution gone too far?

Guys, A mate of mine started one of these "micro-breweries" over here. I wired his brewery for him, with power and controls for Africa. I'm used to this sort of thing, but when he first put his brew down, he said "You HAVE to come over and taste this" I did and to be honest, he was ranting on about ...

Re: Turn that shit off!! (Bad bands you've witnessed)

Judge,
No it wasn't me and my mates, I stay away from playing in pub bands because of arthritis in my left hand.
The band that played last was a covers band called Sick Chicken.

Re: Finally made it back

Ohh, Don't worry Judge, one of the FIRST things that happened here after any quake is that the alcohol supply was sorted out. The prospect of a dry city would have been something that NO-ONE would have even liked to think about, let alone let it happen. My bar at home here is always well stocked for...

Turn that shit off!! (Bad bands you've witnessed)

Guys, The other night, myself and a few mates went out to the local pub to sample the wares (as you do). Unfortunately, we'd picked the wrong night for this, it turned out it was the bar owners attempt at some sort of a "talent-quest" and get some live acts going. Now, I say this as a guy that has b...

Finally made it back

Hi Folks, You may have heard of the earthquakes we had down in this part of the world in February and the aftershocks in June. It has not been a nice time down here at all, electricians like myself are absolutely flat out working 6 days a week. As they say, work is the curse of the drinking man, the...

Re: Getting Drunk on Beer.

With winter coming on over here,
I've found that chopping and stacking firewood gives you the meanest beer appetite ever.
You build up a decent sort of a sweat, have a nice hot shower then it's into it.
Nothing like the satisfaction of having cut wood in the shed and sitting down to a few cold ones.

Re: Drunkard Food?

You want to eat too much, otherwise there is no room left for what matters most. That should actually read "You DON'T want to eat too much, otherwise there is no room left for what matters most." Why is there no edit button here? I would have thought that a forum that catered to the "liquorally-cha...

Drunkard Food?

That might sound like a bit of a paradox there. But what do you folks enjoy during a night on the turps (btw, I'm not talking about the next day when you are going to eat like a horse that got into the greens paddock)?. I'm also not talking about them beer nuts that are so salty, they'd make a Metho...

Re: The say what's on your mind thread ....

(Sorry if this is a downer to anyone) But I am seriously pissed off. I am being laid off after 20 years service as an electrician with a company I work for here. I finish up tomorrow, heaps of bloody notice. I have enough in my wallet to have a great weekend, but after that, who knows. But at the en...

Re: Drunkard Hygene...

After the 12th day, I couldn't even stand up in a shower, so I resorted to what I know best.
Damn that WD-40 makes great deoderant, after-shave and a refreshing mouth wash.
Just don't get it in your eyes.

A great evening is about to happen

Hi folks, I came home from 2 weeks in Australia, flying a chopper, after the fires over there, the wife and I are looking to get on the turps tonight. We have beers, wine and spirits and food to cook on the BBQ. Not to leave out the onions and roasted garlic. Wish us luck,it should be a good evening...

I've got this bloody song going around in my head, Grrrr.

It is "Snakeskin" by Aussie band Gyroscope, it won't go away.

Check it out if you must.
