If I could afford to, I probably would drink all "good stuff". That said, being very much not rich, I have learned to like the taste of cheaper things. I usually drink the cheaper stuff, but also have a nice amount of good stuff now and then. People should drink whatever they like, and not worry abo...

For drinking at home: I recommend making 7&7s, as both ingredients are cheap. I personally hate 95% of cheap vodka/whiskey. That said, Smirnoff and Evan Williams work well. Well, it all depends, Scotch: neat, in an old fashioned glass, or on the rocks. If it is cheap/rotgut, as fast as possible or maybe mixed with coke if it is really terrible. (Scotch that comes in a gallon plastic jug is really, really bad neat.) Irish: same as Scotch. Bourbon/American: Same as Scotc...
