Re: NOOOO!!! RIP Billy Mays...

I know it's in poor taste, but that's never stopped anyone here before. Saw this shortly after Ed, Farrah, MJ, and Billy died and couldn't avoid laughing.

Re: Irish Cream & Coke...

I've had cola and beer mixed together in Kaiserslaughtern, Germany. Its actually not too bad. It's kind of a frat boy type drink though.

Re: Making the moment

100 Pipers isn't much of a scotch. It's scotch lite. Drink of choice of my Korean War vet regulars.

Re: Ambien

I haven't taken too much Ambien, but I've been prescribed Trazadone. Ambien is kind of like mushrooms, but Trazadone is like bad acid. I once woke up hallucinating and ran into my front yard nekkid, shouting and trying to claw invisible insects off of me. At noon. And I lived between a grade school ...

Bars in RI

Well, tonight is my last night in the Sooner State. Got one last show at my local to run tonight and I'm gone tomorrow. Probably with an epic hangover. Got stationed here 9 years ago for the Air Force and never left. Now family obligations are driving me back to Rhody. Having moved out when I was 17...

Does that make Bender the world's greatest wingman?

Re: Irish Cream & Coke...

It's the citric acid in the Coke that curdles the cream. Like a cement mixer. Which probably makes the Coke foam like crazy. So I wouldn't really drink that.

However 1 part baileys to 2 parts orange juice, shaken and consumed rapidly is pretty good. Tastes like an Orange Dreamsicle.

Re: Best beer bang for buck.

I can get 30 packs of Keystone Light for about $16 in most of the gas stations around here. Tastes like water, but it works.

Re: All Scotch is Good Scotch

For some reason I like 100 Scotch. It's so good it never touches glass till you pour it. Actually, it's like they got some chemists together to figure out how to make the cheapest booze on earth and still not taste like total crap. When I feel like having scotch I will have Balvenie doublewood 12 ye...

Re: Sailor Jerry

Gah, I type too slow. Also the label is kind of a yellow-tan color paper now, but that's the stuff. Maybe try the norwegian version, seems similar enough. Let us know if it is any good.

Re: Sailor Jerry

Trust me I know how it feels. The booze laws in the state I live in are arcane. But this is the SJ that everyone talks about. http://www.drunkard.com/issues/05_04/images/sailor-rum.jpg Label is a bit different, it's 92 proof and is a spiced rum with hints of chery and a bit of vanilla. But I think t...

Re: Making the moment

My favorite is drinking a bourbon a scotch and a beer in a dive bar while the jukebox plays "One bourbon one scotch one beer" by thorogood. Bonus if it's karaoke night and you sing the song while you're drinking the drinks (it's more than long enough) Double bonus if you do it while you host karaoke...

Re: Games to play

My vote is for "Never Have I Ever" which is a total high school game but you learn a lot of strange shit about your friends. Bu no one will remember it, so it's ok. Just don't blame me when you're single and you don't remember why, I've been there too many times to take the blame. I'm amazed I even ...

Re: Sailor Jerry

That is a totally different label from the 92 proof SJ I get. Methinks that's possibly a new version akin to Malibu rum, or there is treachery afoot at your local nazi booze store. You can probably search the MDM mag's page for the review and get a picture, as it was in the magazine. That's how I fo...

Re: New Beam Bourbon?

No. I can't express how stupid this is. I have had cinnamon bourbon that was good, but there is no way this is going to even remotely taste like a decent bourbon and I give it a few weeks after this comes out before fratboys are dropping shots of this into glasses of red bull. If you want JB to tast...
