Old Samuel - 'Kentucky Style' blended bourbon [blended and bottled in Holland]. 40%. Think it was from either Morrisons or Tesco - pretty tasty and only ~£13 :-)

2013 Trivento Malbec. It's drinkable, but I won't be buying it again. Had a silky smooth 2012 Los Gansos Merlot a few weeks ago which was awesome!

Nothing like standing crammed in a crowded pub trying to protect your drink from getting spilled, the shared agony of watching England underperform, the mad scramble to get a drink or several during half time, the toilets overflowing with piss, the odd goal - the occasional glimpse of English genius...

The Bowmore was pretty good. I've not tried any other Bowmores, but the small batch reserve was quite tasty. Booznik is right - it's supposed to be light compared with other Bowmores, but all things are relative. It had plenty of peaty smoky flavour which I like, and definitely makes me want to try ...
