Re: Any other great television shows?
Me and the redhead are quite in to Game of Thrones recently. Ordered series 1 and 2 on blu-ray and are now halfway through the first season. Somewhat complicated at first, especially when imbibed, but a great show anyways.

Re: Any other great television shows?
What about Borgen, the Danish political series? Anybody of you scandinavians watched it? I'm not a ScandiFinnLapp, but they did show it, here in the UK, on BBC4. It was, apart from a few dodgy forays into International Diplomacy (don't bother with the African or Afghanistan bits), excellent (althou...

Re: Any other great television shows?
In case somebody hasn't seen Game of Thrones yet, see it. It's fucking awesome. Burrururur. So much looking forward to and hype up for season 3 personally. I have it on blu-ray (first season). Still have one Breaking Bad Season 2 episode on my hard disk drive before I watch Game of Thrones. What ab...

Uhm, I don't know how to bring this to you, Boozy, but hey, since we're grown-ups in the same pub... I once dated a Californian anthropology student, ten years younger than me - we met in Spain and started this long-distance relationship, nine time zones apart. Whenever she was in Belgium, it was fi...

Three words for this: Oh! My! God!
But then again, to each his/her own taste. I am probably too conservative to try this.

Re: First Ice
Well, it would be based on the "weight of fish *times* volume of alcohol imbibed / body mass (of the ice fisher)" factor. Clearly.Palinka wrote:Now, how in the hell would we work out who won?Patchez wrote:MDM Ice Fishing Tournament?

Re: Beer at mcDonald's?
Well, I have to admit, when I take the kids to McD (and this does happen once in a year) I have a beer over there (don't eat the food, yuck). They serve Jupiler here in Belgium.

Re: Boozy's wine thread - the sequel
Ahum, Wingman, I don't know how to bring this to you, but I *think* (and I may be wrong) that slipperyyoke is referring to the former Soviet Republic Georgia, which is renowned for its great wines (ask JimLahey, he is from Russian descent, and his parents used to drink Georgian wines). well, they w...

Re: Boozy's wine thread - the sequel
Opinions/recommendations for Georgian Wines? certainly: make sure you get something from the northern regions, like around helen. most of the wine vinted here is made from grapes from out of state, but there are some actual vinyards (i spell it like it sounds, honey) up around there. Ahum, Wingman,...
