Re: Vodka: The Ultimate No-Tell Booze?

The problem with vodka as the ultimate no-tell booze is that it's the first choice of all the fucked up alcoholics out there who are trying to get away with drinking a quart of liquor before noon each day. Since these people are sweating it out each day, a lot of the general public has experience w...

Re: Vodka: The Ultimate No-Tell Booze?

it doesn't really have much of a flavor. its taste, to the extent that it exists, tastes like... alcohol. Certainly can't disagree. Vodkas are certainly intended to be "light". Seems the trend these past 15/ 20 years has been to produce a true neutral. At some point the "neutral" designation seemed...

Re: Vodka: The Ultimate No-Tell Booze?

tasteless drink. Tasteless? Thats just not true Wingman. It would be tatsteless if he chooses to still it that way. Or perhaps uses a wash recipe that is largely flavorless.......But a nice bourbon styled grain bill that has been distilled 4Xs and even carbon filtered will have a nice delicate all ...

Re: Vodka: The Ultimate No-Tell Booze?

Yer not listening MOL. He didn't say no hang over from all vodkas. His correct assertion is no hang overs from strictly stilled vodkas. Not withstandind ethanol poisoning or dehydration. Carbon filtering is a sham created by the industry and only promotes bad stilling practices as you have likely fo...

Re: This Hangover Keeps Hangin' on

Yep, I hear ya. I've been knocking back close to a 26oz of 60% homebrew at a sitting, and been no worse for wear the next day. It's alot easier on the system than commercial headsplitter booze. Worst problem I have is lack of hydration too !! Ordinarily my response would be sumpin like,,,,,"yeah th...

Re: Drinking some Negra Modelo

I think the bottom line for us is what's the bigger concern: drinking or liking/feeling proud of what you drink. Obviously people will have favorites and least-favorites, opinions about relative worth of different beers/wines/liquors, shit they hate and shit they'd kill for. But, desert-island, nuc...
