Mimosas

Getting ready to open the bar. The staff thinks that stocking champagne is useless, because decent champagne is too expensive for a double mark-up, which is about typical. I am not dissuaded so easily. So I will have a mimosa tasting, to see how cheap the swill can be before noticably negatively imp...

I believe that at some point you responded with a reluctance to travel.

Re: Well, who the Fuck is showing up?

For my part, my wife got called out of town for work therefore I had the baby and I was sick to boot and I did post (albeit right before the convention) that I could not come. I had been letting people know the entire time that I was looking weekly for a good deal on airfare so I believe I did what...

Re: Well, who the Fuck is showing up?

I wasn't complaining about anyone's inability to attend. My problem was with those who said they were coming, and then didn't, WITHOUT SAYING SO! The short list of Drunkards who I don't know, but still were courteous enough to RSVP regrets, include Mr Viking and FKR. Drunkards who do know me, and le...

That's ok. You got back to me, so I wasn't expecting you.

Re: Well, who the Fuck is showing up?

There were a few others who bailed out without telling me, but I don't recognize their board names, so I ignored them. Palinka edited out SteveD from the list of assholes. I guess that's what Moderators do. I had to throw away a lot of food. On the other hand, just a handful of Drunkards are enough ...

Re: Well, who the Fuck is showing up?

Yeah, its too bad that Surreal, Cheffie, Resident Asshole, Waahoohah, Space Monkey, Big Casino, and Whiskey Prick said they were coming and bailed out without letting us know. Mallory Knox "forgot". FKR and Palinka had good excuses. Several others did not. Lame.

Re: Warning to future Drinking Man attendees!

I can't remember anything after 6 pm on Friday. I also had a black out Monday, due to starting early with some kind of Godly bourbon cocktail, and finishing with most of a growler. I may have had a blackout Sunday too, its hard to remember almost everything.

I'll buy some booze to help out when I get there.
On the way is Happy Trails, about 5 miles west of Greenfield on Rt 2. They have a huge dog, Archie, who has a local beer named after him. I'll get some.

Re: Drunken Golf

If I come I would love to do this, however I'm hoping I don't have to bring my clubs. Problem being, I'm a lefty. Do you know if there will be any available? I do have clubs. Several bags. I'll check today to see if any are leftys. If not, I hear that a wood is needed for one of the holes (this new...

Drunken Golf

Another Convention thread...I have a 6 hole golf course at the resort. It's not perfect, the greens are in rough shape. Regardless, I think a drinking golf tournament will be appropriate. Any ideas for rules? It's a par 3, so my first idea was a shot (or beer) for each stroke over par, at each follo...

Build A Bar

This is a list I made for my house, but I think I'll put it in the motel house, for Memorial Day weekend: Myers Dark Rum, Sapphire Gin, Kraken, Goslings, ginger beer, Sailor Jerry's, Coconut Rum, Banana Rum, 99 Bananas, Hot Damn (100 proof), Grey Goose/Belvedere Vodka, 3 Olives Grape Vodka, Maker's ...

Plenty of rooms. I may have to invite local drunks to help fill them.
