Re: Sometimes, I feel like I'm sliding off the earth.

Something complex, dark but with good clarity. Give your brain time to cogitate and your eyes something to fixate on.

Or, you could skip it and go straight to the absinthe.

Watching the green fairy at play is good for the soul.

Immediately following the instructions for the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch is a recipe for the Holy Brain Grenade of Antioch.

Vodka, brandy, kahlua, cinnamon schnapps... Cross yourself and shoot...

Repeat until confessional starts to seem like a good idea.

I have half a bottle Sailor Jerry's, a full 1.75 of 100 Proof Capt. Morgan, and a 12 of Shiner.

Will that do for starters?

I raise one to Missus Bluto's grandfather. We laid him to rest yesterday. In his later years he wasn't much for drinking, himself, but he was still a good man. I miss him already and hope his soul is at peace. cheers -Bluto Glass raised. Only knew one of my Grandfathers. Miss 'em both anyways... Ca...

Re: Gentlemen, a confession

I know how you feel. I have a gallon of Joe's Ancient Orange mead in a secondary fermenter in my basement as we sit here. Not sure what I did wrong, but it has completely failed to clarify and the color has me somewhat afraid to remove the vapor lock. No sign of anything green, or possibly sentient,...

Re: What are you drinking right now?

Taaka is made at Heaven Hill... haven't tried it, but I wouldn't be afraid to try anything they make, even if it's cheap. They know their stuff. Curiously enough, I bought it off the bottom shelf to use as a base for home made Fakevavit. Turned out very smooth with bright tones from the coriander a...

Greetings, Mr. Owens and Mr. Corpse. Those are mighty fine avatars you have there. I'm not qualified to give you the standard introduction package, but there are examples earlier in this thread (such as when I joined). Be well, enjoy yourselves, and DRINK! My thanks for the gracious welcoming. As f...

Re: Drinking Alone

You're never really drinking alone as long as the voices in your head are still talking. The voices in my head are back to back with pistols high. Their seconds stand nervously by as they await the command and count of twenty paces... It oughta be a fantastic weekend. Glass is empty, more later unl...

Re: What are you drinking right now?

Seems apropo for a second post...

Cheap vodka and generic diet cola.

Taaka is only $12 for a 1.75, but tastes like Svedka without the astringent edge. Made in Kentucky, so how awful could it be?

They also had a good deal going on Drambui, so into the cart went that as well.
