Well, therein lies the rub, as they say. I'm wearing my Sox cap as I type this. However, I will say that I'm not one of those "hardcore" guys who think that you can't root for both. I'll root for the Cubs, as long as they're not playing the Sox. I would love to see the Cubbies break this 100 year thing. It would be totally exciting. I remember what it was like in '03; that was madness and they weren't even in the World Series.

1. The Godmother (equal parts vodka and amaretto. i drink it neat. plus it was this cocktail recipe search that brought me to MDM)
2. Bloody Maria extra spicy w/pickled vegetables
3. Grasshopper (because it tastes like those ice cream christmas trees, dangit!)
4. Martini (Hendricks. I can't get that gin outta my head), two olives and lemon twist
5. Rusty Nail
6. Gin Gimlet
7. Margarita on the rocks
8. Greyhound
9. Beam and coke
10. Rum and coke

1. Glenmorangie, Neat
2. Martini, 2 olives (Gin ONLY)
3. Maker's Manhattan, no cherries but twist of lemon
4. A Cooler, vodka, splash of lemon juice and top off with Fresca (invented for my diabetic Dad, good though!)
5. Vodka and Cherry 7UP
6. Sailor Jerry, Neat
7. Sailor Jerry and Coke
8. Guinness
9. Jim Beam, shot
10. The Highlife

wow - took me a whole year to reply to this...
it's a French thang. Esspresso or very rich coffee served with a layered liqueurs in a shot glass (usually with cream involved). I've been told that I drink it wrong (throw the shot in the coffee) but then again it is my drink, so it can't be wrong.

1) dry martini
2) old fashioned
3) manhattan
4) scotch and water
5) BRUTAL HAMMER
6) gin and tonic
7) bourbon and coke
8) boilermaker (does this count as a cocktail? who cares? i'm from the Rust Belt and it gets the job done...)
9) bloody mary
10) double whiskey and whiskey, with a splash of whiskey

Honorable Mention:
11) Pabst Blue Ribbon (not a cocktail, but the greatest beer on god's green earth)

wine coolers are good too. very crisp, as long as you have plenty of water and fruit juice
