found it at this tiny liq store in Raliegh, NC last weekend. Never had the quarter cask before, so this weekend will be groundbreaking. That's right, groundbreaking.

I had the chance to actually "discover" scotch whisky in Scotland.....I visited a distillery and rushed the tour for the free sample payoff at the end. Luckily my wife hated it so I got a double sample....It was as if Zeus had given me the nectar of the gods
Don't you know there ain't no devil, it's just god when he's drunk.

No, I started it, but my starting post is gone, and evidently something is broken somewhere...

Oh well, to re-iterate: Glenfiddich surprised me at how awesome it tasted!

I believe(?) the G-fiddy 12 is the biggest selling single malt in the world.

I've been fortunate enough to have sampled both their 18 and 21 -- both are ambrosial.

So what's your opinion of the Jura?

It's a great middle ground, more smokey than a Speyside or a Highland, but less smoke and peat than an Islay. It's in a perfect spot.

Anybody got around trying the Invergordon 1972 (37 yo)? Enjoying one now and I still haven't found any whisky that comes near. Very excited about it ever since I discovered it in January this year at Whisky weekend in Amsterdam. A week later I got me a bottle (about 117,- euros)
