Dry gin (not vodka, no matter what they say, nor how much I am fond of that particular spirit) with Rose's (accept no substitute) lime cordial is called a "Gimlet" (and it features quite a lot in the excellent Raymond Chandler novel, "The Long Goodbye". I cannot recommend the two (especially together) highly enough.
