I drink New Castle warm and do not understand your aversion. New Castle can be hit or miss at any temperature due to its god damned clear bottles. That why I try to only drink it from kegs but...

It is almost impossible to get "newkie broon" on draught in Glasgow.

I do agree about Newkie. It is a delicious beer but you really do have to chill the hell out of it first. Nothing beats a Newk right outa the ice box,
