I think the women on this board took a bruising this week, but they perservered, held their ground and the King is dead. I lurked this site for a couple months, I've been reading the magazine and tuned into the web site. I decided to join because the King guy was ruining the mood and I wanted to partake in sticking my size seven shoe up his ass. Another reason was because I wanted to join the fun. Most of the posts here are humourous, informative, and I didn't detect much, if any, racial/mysoginistic /homophobic posts. My mothers Ethiopian, my dad is Japanese and I am, what Americans label a black lesbian with slanted eyes. Of course, those things don't matter, but if I can have funny, informative conversations with people via the web without running across posts that insult my lifestyle or the way I look, I feel better about participating. You got to admit, the term "hippie" is pretty vagure. One man's hippie is another man's annoying areshole.

I think the ladies know they're fine, I doubt they're impressed with all the sucking up to them. If they are, then I'm a little less impressed with them.

I don't consider this post 'sucking up.' I took it as a compliment and a very nice introduction post. Guess you won't be impressed with me :twisted: Strange you didn't have much of a problem with the poster who was degrading and insulting the women on this board. Your input consisted of "let everybody that wants to join the ship in, cause if we start eliminating, we might eliminate me" bullshit. If you weren't sprouting that, you were hitting on Chelsea, who by the way, has a man.

Now I'll 'suck up' to some of the male posters: Thanks to PALINKA, TARTANSPECIAL, UNKELEMMY, MASSIVE, WMBURROUGHS, ROWDY79 and FROSTEDGLASS. If any of you guys (or the ladies) are ever in the Los Angeles area, my home is open to you, my bar is very well stocked and my pool is warm

This done, I am finished with the boards for now. I'm working for the next few weeks. But trust me, another asshole shows up, I'll be right behind him, with a hot curling iron....

While we're at it, toss the busters, buddies, dudes, and boys into that basket as well.

Maybe it's just expanded horizons, but aside from biology and history, there isn't much outside of personal differences between the male and female or otherwise brain. We're all drunkards here, and when the bottle or it's related matters comes into question, it's everyone for their own selves in regards as to how they conduct their business.

As for KHD, however. Being a misogynist can be appreciated in some select ways (-Mothers- Against Drunk Driving, anyone?). Being an idiot, however, can not.

We are an inclusive bunch. The only people that we take objection to are the idiots.

Bill, I have detected that same vibe. For heaven's sake people, not only did hippies popularize outdoor concerts, they were also the driving force behind tie dye, sandals for men, bongs, flower power (who knew the flowers had the power?), macrame, Young Rascals, and last but not least, headbands!! Get over it and give credit where it is due!

And yes, I, Lucky, have one Birkenstock in my closet... I don't know where the other one is, but I've got my eye out for it.
