this sep 11th we had our flight deck accident so naturraly the rmembrance ceremony we've had for the last 2 years was put off and most of us didn't think of the connection. when people bash bush for his stand against the assholes who did this, try to put yourself in his position. i think his actions were pretty conservative compared to what i would've done. imagine living in a culture where these actions are considered justified. mass murder of innocents just trying to make a political point. this was only months after the uss cole, who is a member of my battle group. we were there for that one also. fuck those people. they've gotten off easy so far.

I agree that the ones responsible should be put to death in the most painful way imaginable, maybe Mussolini-style where their victims get to throw rotting food and hit them and stuff. I'll leave the political comment at that.

That was...painful. I do remember, every time a plane flies too low over the "no-fly" zone where my family, my friends and I work, I wonder if that's it - every single member of my immediate family and my two closest friends, gone. I used to have panic attacks but it's better now. I think about New York a lot. And our government.
