Evening all, I'm new here. If the new guy buys, here's a big jug of poitin for everyone.
Anyway, what are your favourite bands to get pissed to? Mine are:
Slayer - Nothing induces a drunken frenzy like 'War Ensemble'.
The Levellers - Real good times music.
Napalm Death - For when 'pissed off' doesn't cover it.

Re: Music to drink to
I usually listen to jazz while I'm drinking, but right now I'm enjoying the musical stylings of the Cowboy Junkies.

Slayer is fine endrunkening music, and I think it goes best with Beer.
Wine is a good complement to The Moody Blues.
Martinis are best served with jazz like Coltrane or Miles. If you're doing the Bobby Darin thing you may want to substitute Gin & Tonic.
Whiskey = Country.
Phish should be listened to with Corona Light and pot. In fact skip the Corona and get some expensive coffee from Starbucks. Make sure your're driving a Lexus. Just kidding. Not really.

Rum= Bob Marley
MicroBrews and Micro Buses seem to go together, so pull out The Grateful Dead Europe '72 if you don't have access to any bootlegs. Christ, you're on the internet snag a bootleg. My suggestion is March 30, 1988 Spectrum (in Philadelphia).
When I'm drinking Vodka I like Disturbed and Godsmack
If I'm drinking Martinis or Gimlets, I prefer 70's stuff like "Classical Gas"
And if I'm drinking wine, I'm listening to Mozart

If you haven't yet heard The Drive By Truckers, then do yourselves a favor & get some.....
Women Without Whiskey, and Let There be Rock are specifically about gettin your drink on.....
plus some of the lyrics on other songs are freaking awesome too. and those boys can flat out put the bourbon down, it is a sight to see the amount they drink onstage.

Love dropkick murphys, too. How about nightwish?
Gots to love the country/folk music for whiskey drinking. Anyone ever heard of Eric Taylor? His Scuffletown album is amazing. My brother just loaned it to me. Highly recommended.
John Prine, Buddy Miller, Elvis Costello, Modest Mouse, Simon and Garfunkel, Victoria Williams
