Anchor porter is damn good, it's in my top five favorite porters.
I'll have to give my answer as two parts:
Bottled beer - Black hawk porter (tyranena brewing co.)
On tap - J.T. Whitney's smoked porter (local brew pub in Madison, WI)

Skullsplitter is great.. but for big bears in that genre.. I'm going with Samiclause (sp) ultra strong.. big and malty.. great hop balance to malt.. and very rare..
when I visited Rogue back in april I traded some of the breweries winter special batch with some of thiers and came back with the Black Bruttal Bitter, they cut back some of the bittering hops and bumped up the Black malt very interesting.. and as far as I know completly Non-existant anywhere in the world
Fred from Hair of the dog.. as well as rose always tickles me, and this place is like a homebrewer gone horribly awry.. one guy in a warehouse doing all the work on a little seven barrel brewhouse.. take that into consideration next time you have one
at home.. I'm always drinking the Legend golden ale. Sweet and hoppy, clean finish and very smooth. Any Bud drinker will drink this love it.. pound four and wonder why they are so incredibly fucked up.. but of course.. the same could also be said about our lager.
but right now I'm sucking on our Pale ale late summer offering that has about 2.5 pounds of hops per barrel..and we only made 16 bbls. Hopped five ways.. each one diffrent.. it sat on whole leaf magnum at 9% alpha on ferment, and 15% perle on finish! the abv is about 8% so its been a lovely diversion from the gold for a little while..
BeerGnome, I've got 2 or 3 bottles of Samichlaus I've been keeping for ages...from 1995. I had one a while back and after the aging it is smooth and awesome.
methfront: the man who wanted to steal a shopping cart of bowling balls and drop them from the back of a car down route 36 doesn't want to sow bitterness
fdoosey: No, he just wanted to have fun with a shopping cart of bowling balls.
