This intrigues me. I called the distributor and they gave me a name of a liquor store that may have it near me.

Edit: I thought there was only one, the Carolina one.

Til yesterday, I tried the Jerimiah Weed version. It tasted more like drinking a stiff cup of Black tea than it did vodka. Apparently there is another kind too.

I still stand by my original post, but just had to clarify.

i concur. we had it with lemon and pineapple juice (just a splash) at new years and since. just drink it however you enjoy your sweet tea. and sweet tea is not tea with sugar on the table. if you don't know what sweet tea is, follow the instructions in this thread, and may god have mercy on your yankee soul.

Firefly http://www.fireflyvodka.com/ is the original and the best. Others are douches who can't come up with their own ideas.

Perfect to just drink it neat or chilled with a lemon in it. Can't beleive it took my locla liquor store up here in Aiken, South Carolina so long to start stocking it. Been having to go to one of my locals and even ordered a couple of fifths online when I got impatient. Love it.

I just got back from a week in South Carolina. Spent alot of time talking with bartenders down there. They guard their "simple syrup" recipe like they're guarding the queens jewels. Some of the drinks I sampled over the last 7 days - can't remember names - involved tea and simple syrup. If this Firefly involves those two ingredients, it's gonna be good. Especially on a hot day, or a cold day, or any day ending in "y'.

Firefly just came out with new flavors. Rasberry tea, peach tea, lemon tea and mint tea. Haven't tried any yet but I bet the mint and peach are damn tasty.

Okay, finally got off my ass and got some.

Took a while, couldn't find Firefly, but got a bottle of Carolina.

Prick is right when he says this stuff is scary good. I'm beginning to think I'll be still drunk when I call mom tomorrow...

I tried the mint. Amazing. Not really interested in the lemon or raspberry but want to try the peach.

breaking news... there is now at lest 4-5 cheaper versions of sweet tea flavored vodka at the liquor stores here in NC. Even seagram's makes one. The slippery slope has begun.

This is indeed intriguing. It has vast potential as a liquor concept. Pretty soon, some freelance jackass booze alchemist will be infusing vodka with high grade Jasmine Pearl and Keemun. Or White Castles. Ahhhem.

The trick is, most northerner Yanks can't wrap their tundra frozen brains around the concept of sweet tea booze, let alone sweet tea. Give us another 20 years, and we'll no doubt catch up to the South in that regard.
