No. I can't express how stupid this is. I have had cinnamon bourbon that was good, but there is no way this is going to even remotely taste like a decent bourbon and I give it a few weeks after this comes out before fratboys are dropping shots of this into glasses of red bull.

If you want JB to taste like cherries, have a shot then drink some fresh cherries.
Bourbon shouldn't try to compete with vodka for the infused booze market with the high school kids. This just seems like a bad idea. Jim Beam's version of crystal pepsi or new coke.

I don't see why there all the negativity towards flavored whisky. As long as they keep it seperate from the main beam line. Has anyone tried it? if its sickingly sweet then i can understand ;) Is it artificially flavored. A cherry infused whisky doesn't actually sound like a bad thing to me. Maybe a natural infusion depending on the type of cherries. I'm mostly curious. I'm sure the purists here might have a problem.
Personally i'd hate to see a whole line of different flavors with the beam name; but if it tastes good why not have a few flavored ones under a different name that taste good. Maybe not the best example but if you have guests that come over that don't care for whisky; my girls hates it but give her a baileys and she doesn't even realize its whisky

Does anyone here have any good recipes and/or links to whisky infusions I'd greatly appreciate it( yes i saw the beam and ginger infusion thread =) Having a problem finding any good ones on the net.

Baileys is not Whiskey. You do not find it in the Whiskey aisle it is Irish Cream a cordial. The hatred or this flovored Whiskey comes from the fact the the flavored Vodka's and alco-pops and bomb-cup shots are the sad reminder that the Rat Pack is dead and the new standard of badass and cool are Bam, Steve-O, and guys rapping about over priced champagne. Standards fall, traditions fade away and all we can do is watch it die.
