yeah, it depends on too many factors to really estimate.

and scientifically, it happens from drinking alot in a short period, not total quantity. I've blacked out off a pint before- I drank it in 10 minutes.

An impossible question to answer, too many factors to be taken into consideration (i.e. stomach contents, frame of mind, amount of sleep, etc.), but one worthy of further investigation/experimentation.

1. You will have to have an outside observer record how much, and what, you drink before you 'black out'.
2. Since you don't have any idea when you black out until the following day, said outside observer will have to ask you the eternal question: "what's the last thing you remember about last night?"
3. Upon answering the eternal question, said observer will consult your drinking log from the night previous and inform you of what you drank before you stopped remembering things.
4. Take this list with you and adjust as necessary.

we can use my log, the last thing I remember was putting the DVD on. all the beer, shots are recorded with time taken.
It was originally intended a drink whiskey then beer anti-sleepwalking theory test. I count 9 beers and 9 shots before losing
my memory, that's 9x12x.055 + 9X1*.4=9.54 ounces of alcohol, in a volume of 108+9=117 ounces making a general 8% per volume
ounce consumed, for a 4 hour period, giving me a BAC percentage of 0.3041.
