Nice buy. Nice price. £42 a bottle over here. Corry is great, Uigeadail is even better, if that's on offer too then try it.

With work and school schedule for the next two days the earliest I can drop everything is Wednesday.
But I will seek it out if I can.

Scapas? I'll bet it's the ghosts of the Kaiser's Navy haunting the distillery and "scuttling" the quality.

No no, I haunt the liquor, it's not the other way round.

No it hasn't, a pity. It's not undrinkable though, but it represents a poor buy as it's quite expensive. The owners do bottle the Chivas Cask Strength Series though, these are usually very good if you can find them.

WOW. Four masterful whiskies right there. that Balvenie Madeira Cask is a rare success for madeira maturation, and it's simply brilliant. Even better is that Glendronach 21, Glendronach is suddenly up there with the best of the heavy sherry whisky producers like Glenfarclas. The Uigeadail is in a league of it's own for class.

BUT CHECK OUT THAT PORT ELLEN 8th RELEASE. Magic, you don't see one of those open very often nowadays. Rare stuff.

Good show TBC.

I wound up buying that Glendronach Parliament 21 off of my buddy, you can't get it here and I really fell for it. Sherry aged and Sherry finished have become a new love affair for me.

One day, my kids will be out of college and out of the house, and then I can save a decent bottle of of scotch. There are never any bottles with anything in them at all. All these damn kids all the time, no money and thirsty bellies.

Palinka, you are right. I need to talk to the Judge about a certain set of keys...

The newest additions to the liquor cabinet. My favorite candy store had the Ardbeg Corry on sale for $69.95 awhile back and I was told, in this very thread that I should have dropped everything and gone back for some. I didn't. I finally got around to it today. All that was left of the sale was one lonely bottle of 10. I still have some of that. I was a little bummed. That is until Chris the manager came up, smiled and said "Here, I stashed this in the back for you". Then he hands me a bottle of Corry. Seems when I had expressed interest in it when last in but financially challenged, he remembered and as supplies dwindled he stashed me one. God bless that man. This is why I still go there 40 miles out of my way, one way.

That and they do the hand select bourbon runs. this time it was Evan Williams hand select. Though that is another thread.

Now for the porn.

well, sounds like it's worth traveling for. Is the Maker's Mark with the blue wax a special edition or is it a different style?
