I got a handle of Long Island iced tea for 16 bucks, 21%, not too bad tasting. The Bacardi hurricane was syrupy and only 12.5%, definitely going to avoid that one in the future. Overall, I honestly like the idea of not having to stock up on six different types of liquor, all sorts of mixers, etc, especially since I'm not settled on one type of drink right now. Normally rum and cokes during cold months, and margaritas during warmer ones. Just wanted some quick, complex, "exotic" drinks to tide me over until I find my winter '12-'13 niche.
That's no excuse at all. You should only drink and enjoy sanctioned alcoholic beverages. Why... you may be thinking for yourself...

Certain drinks are "bar only," like Long Islands, and certain drinks still are "tiki bar only," like Zombies and Hurricanes. The bars have the inventory and fresh juices/garnishes to make them well and delicious. There is no need for you, personally, to have eight kinds of rum in your house. Unless you really like rum, in which case you likely drink it neat or on the rocks and not in a sugared-up monstrosity.

Anyway, to the point at hand: premade is for underage college kids, divorcees, and drunkards with nothing else to choose from.

For my redhead these pre-mixed are allright, to me they generally lack in alcohol content. I like to mix my drinks myself, liberally.

I have a low boredom threshold when it comes to tastes, so if I'm mixing anything I tend not to follow a recipe and use whatever is sitting about mixed together. I hate premixed things because you are given a set flavour and I think that flavours of any drink change with situation and each person making a drink will have their own twist on the recipe. I therefore feel a bit trapped if I am presented with a bottle that claims to be the definitive (insert name) and uncomfortable with the idea. I suppose some people do like to follow set procedures and have things the right way and according to a recipe. But even from that standpoint, the company making the mix probably hasn't followed the recipe making the drink wrong. If on the other hand what you want is something sweet as a mixer and want something different to the usual fizzy pop, I think it's time to give up, you're doing it wrong

There's those single-sized,pre-mixed magaritas, pina greenbeenyas and such that one can ususally find on sale at liquor stores. (You are supposed to freexe them and prour them in a glass.)
They're kind of like adult beverage Capri Suns. tHEY WOULD pROBABLY BE GOOD IN HIKING SITUATIONS.

In a five-liter camelbag, well, why not? It will do the job.
