I think the only time I ever had it was (10+ yrs ago) from a friend's dad's liquor cabinet where it had been sitting untouched for about 20 yrs. Most of the label was worn off and what was there was largely in Russian, except the part that said you could "substitute for whiskey, gin or vodka in any drink." It tasted heavily of caraway and it was delicious.
