Got two blends from my pipeshop. Northwoods clone and an un named Perique heavy blend.

Both pair well with stouts and smokey scotch.

Just about to the end of the Longbottom Leaf that I found in Isengard.

Yeah, puff some of that Hobbit reefer and you'll be sitting on the couch all day long eating Lambas bread.

Don't forget the rye whiskey. Perique is a freak for a good rye whiskey.

This is one of my pipes. Pic seems to stay huge no matter what I do in preview. hope it gets small when this posts. Anyway the premium Burley that I got for it goes well with stouts like the rye rebellion you see in the pic. Heavy mouth feel one the smooth smoke as well as the imperial stout aged in rye whisky barrels. This is a JM Boswell's fishing pipe. Note the screen as well as the clip and rope to hold onto it while hip deep in a stream.

This is my set of blends.
Cherry Smash so the wife likes it.
Premium burley = smooth little chameleon with a heavy mouth feel good for stouts
Boswell's Best = heavy mouth feel with vanilla and caramel. Pairs well with bourbons or ryes as the bourbon brings out the sweets notes while the ryes bring the hint of spiciness out in it. the blond pipe is an Italian import. thinner walls so it does not get packed full due to heat. Still working on correct packing. All of this is that jerk Patchez fault

I sank a boat (well not quite but pretty much) on lake Windermere while smoking my pipe. I was about to say I had to bin it in the end but now I think of it, my salmon dinner jacket was remarkably waterproof, even managed to save the tobacco despite having to swim to shore. Somebody stole the pipe from me a few weeks later outside a nightclub. I hope it went really sour on them.

Anyway, do you clip the string onto your collar or something?

How did I miss this thread?

Unfortunately in the UK we cannot get the same quantity of blends our cousins across the ocean get, and we certainly cannot get tobacco for that price. I've ordered from a certain retailer in the US a couple of times hoping it would get past the bastards at HM Revenue and Customs. It often had but recently I have had a few big orders seized.

The blends I always go for are the heavy Latakia ones usually Cornell and Diehl, if they have a bit of cigar leaf in them the better. You can't beat some pipe smoking with some heavy drinking.

That's actually an old German Meerschaum. Probably made in the early 19th century, maybe even before 1871. They called it a "Kalmasch". I'm not sure what that means. I've smoked it once, massive bowl. I need to send it off to get a new stem made, neaten up the silverwork et cetera. I'm just afraid it'll cost me a bomb.

Looks like you have about 29 pipes in that image, but you probably have one in your mouth, or two.

A question remains, which is this:

Where the heck do you find a place to puff when you are out and about?

In the middle of the street, dodging traffic?

I've a got a few pipes in boxes and draws elsewhere. I generally don't count anymore, I just know I need to get another pipe rack.

There are a few tobacconists in the City where you can sit down and smoke, I don't like to do too much lunting (the act of walking whilst smoking a pipe), you see a lot of old boys in the countryside who walk around smoking their pipes and probably tending to their sheep et cetera.

I like to sit down and smoke. I like to sit down and drink too.
