I will feel so bad tomorrow

Post by havoc »

Hello guys and gals

This is my first ever post in this place.
I have been out drinking with my friends and having so much fun today.
Slowly, the thought of tomorrow is creeping into my head, and I feel really remorseful; I must face the horror that comes tomorrow alone.
I must go to sleep soon, what shall I do to alleviate my pain when I wake up ? I have a week long vacation and only need to drive tomorrow evening, what the f do I do ?
Thanks guys!
H

Oh dear, damned havoc,

There is nothing you can do but embrace it. The hangover is like the chisel against a sculpture of stone that defines the definitions of our real drinking character. Or as our drunkard laeureate Oggar says as is quoted by certain a sage man of these boards: "Pain is sometimes the price of laughter." Indeed, it is. You can drink water and you can take your vitamins. But the hangover, she's coming like a wicked bitch of a storm off the Bering Sea and you'd better be ready. When you come through, you'll be better for it.

Now go cry havoc and nurse yourself back from the dead!

If you post again, we'll assume you've survived the travail.

Thanks, I like this forum already!
I did survive indeed, and today I am finally feeling "normal" again (whatever that means), the next day was quite bad though as I expected; 7 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Normal is just another way of saying you're not bleeding out of the eyes, ears, nose or elsewhere. You should take the opportunity to introduce yourself in The Pub, there's a thread there for the new liquored arrivals. And take Mistah Willies good advice. What was it again? Oh, DRINK!

Cheers.

There is a line in a DBT song that makes me contemplate the hangovers and it goes "Morning's a bitch with open arms and Night's a girl that's gone too far." Which seems superbly fitted to your conundrum Havoc. By the way welcome aboard.

RIP Mayhem, as long as I have a heart you are in it.
