To water or no water

In a recent Vegas post I read about a glass of water by your side to have.
Days before, in a drunken skype I was told to do the same, have one during drinks and such.
When I`m drunk the last thing I can think of is water, maybe that stuff you clean my vomit up with, but that is really stretching the term.
The sweet taste of it is almost as biting my tongue as an unfiltered russian vodka is.
The taste after a cold beer I don`t have to tell you...

So how to go on with this?

I load up a shit load when I drink. I don't want to have to trek to the kitchen when I first wake up from thirst at 8am. I want to chug one of my glasses, then pass back out.
