I've drank alone, and I've drank with friends.

My experience is this, if you are drinking in a bar and people are annoying you it's because you aren't talking loud enough.

Exactly.
The cabin sits shut-down, cold-frozen and empty, dead mice in the traps, waiting for me to drink alone there in the dark.

Sadly, same here.

I need to stop being so introverted and make some friends.
Ditto.

Ya know, I often end up drinking alone, because the people around me pass out. I don't like to disturb their rest; that's why headphones were invented, eh? I'm going to dig up my 'phones and listen to some music (will drown out the snores, too--plus!)

They often respond, "Hey! Stop poking me!" And then continue speaking.

A strong argument for drinking alone, mais non?

I prefer to drink alone. I like getting out of control and it's the safest to do so when alone. No?

I never could find the right balance between drinking alone and being out with friends. So I split the difference, and married my best drinking buddy.

It's win/win.
