Thinking back, I was always told that Spam was made of groundhogs, but I read the can and it says pork with ham. And salt of course.
What is the difference between pork and ham?
Pork is pig and ham (which comes from pig) rhymes with spam.

All ham is pork. But not all pork is ham. The secret lies in the brining, smoking and curing process which, of course, is a secret.

In the case of SPAM, we have an abbreviation for the US Dept. of War designation "spiced ham". However, the British cleverly adopted their own version of the acronym during WWII, calling it instead "special purpose American meat" and ate the shit directly from the can spread over stale toast or a dead cat.

Interesting to note, SPAM is the equivalent of crack cocaine to Hawaiian people who would step over their own grandmothers for a can of the processed hog goodies.

I've never had Spam. It's on my Things To Do List.
Is it weird that most people's lists have aspirational things on them, but mine is mostly strange things that you are forced to do when you bottom out?

Not really. Malort is on my To Do list. Some day I'll get my hands on some.

So you want to talk Hawaiian BBQ? You need some of the 'loco moco'. That is breaded pork chops on a bed of rice covered in pork gravy and topped with a fried egg with a side of macaroni salad. We're talking big Hawaiians!

Yes and I can verify that in Hawaii, SPAM is even served at Mickey D's in a value meal. Also, there are a multitude of flavors such as teriyaki, jalapeño, cheese,Tabasco, dead cat flavor among others that may not be available to the rest of the world.

But really give it a chance it is good if you fry it up or marinate it but Hawaiians love it in fried rice or musubi style (Spam sushi) and people eat it every day for breakfast it's crazy.

Lush is correct although depending on the cut of pork we call it pork cutlet or tonkatsu but the most popular Loco Moco is hamburger patties with fried eggs and then covered in gravy on top of a bed of 2 scoops of white rice in addition to the mac salad.

Dieting is an obvious priority in the islands.

Sea weed wrap. Dayam, all this salt is making me thirsty. How can they get away with it? Maybe it's because they're surrounded by salt water. Bound to be in the diet: fish all the time when that's been the most abundant source of protein for centuries...
Maybe it's the fruit offset? Sweat/salty diet. I bet when they sweat, salt shakes out of their pores, but it smells like coconuts.
Reminds me of the beach back in ze day: suntan lotion and sweat.

Yes, but is it technically SPAM "sushi" if you have to fry the SPAM? The reason I ask is because I'm an asshole and have nothing better to do with my time.

^ ^ ^ No, Mr. Smarty Pants. Shrimp, unagi and anago are considered sushi and they are cooked. Boo ya! That's right, I said it.

Fish do not sweat. They drink. Like fish. And swim. In a school of liquor.

Some fish also smoke. Will they get gill cancer?

Yeah yeah yeah and Mr. Miyagi also couldn't seem to really teach Karate either between the bonsai trimmin and car washin. Pretty sure Daniel San brought more dishonor to his family. At least the Cobra Kai families were proud of those assholes and sent them to legitimate Dojo's.

***And to support this... as I've previously posted ...Daniel is the REAL asshole.

Quite hilarious.
