So last night we cooked up some crispy oven baked chicken quarters for dinner. I dropped a few pieces in a mole sauce I made but kept oettinger's separate as he hates mole (I don't blame him though. it's kinda weird). Well... drunk Skyping and drinking got in the way and I barely ate anything which happens quite frequently.

So today I realized I dropped more pieces in the mole sauce than I should have because I will never eat it all. Had I not done that, I could have just given them to oett because he loves leftovers. I look over at oett's leftover plate and there's one paltry chicken leg laying there. So I picked up a few pieces out of the mole, rinsed and dusted them off, rolled them around in the leftover chicken juices, sprinkled some chicken seasoning on them to hopefully disguise the mole remnants, and snuck them onto oett's plate under the potatoes and veggies. I may as well of just dropped them on the ground and put them back on the plate, it's that bad. At least he was too drunk to remember how much he ate so I am curious if he will even notice the refurbished chicken legs.

I can post this because oett doesn't come on the board during the week so he will not be privy to this until it's too late. I'll be peering around the corner when he eats it later today like:

I figure: White plastic bucket to sit on, 2" X 4" X 8' cross-arm in one hand, bottle of Booker's 107 in the other, ice bucket with cheap brewskies in my shadow.

Just goes to show ya, as long as there are no preconceived notions, some foods might actually be tasty.

But if there are visible bug parts, that's a deal killer.

At least with "Molay" sauce, it's mostly plants. Accidentally ground- up cockroaches (authentic style) don't count.

That's why I like hotdogs.

Okay, here's what we've learned so far: molé sauce is not made from burrowing rodents. Hotdogs are diet identity neutral. Creamed possum with unicorn sparkles is not exclusively a redneck delicacy.
