Toxi (via Casino) was not asking for forgiveness, nor was he asking to be reinstated. Simply, he was stating that he fucked up, and his drunken persona took over in a way that he wasn't happy with.
I think it took a hell of a lot of balls to go there, and I for one applaud his fortitude. Are we not all drunkards? Do we not all fuck up? Yes, some of us more than others . . . but let's remember how each of us have probably had a time when we were embarrassed of our actions.
If Toxi wants to be reinstated on this board, I know that he will communicate directly with Frank. Until that time, I would say that we let sleeping dogs lie and see what happens.

This. i dont say he should be let back on what he did was way over the line, really way over the line. i would have knocked him the fuck out in rea life. Im not excusing him at all but and id say this for anyone whos amused me (double standards i know).
If every one i know knew everything ive done no one would talk to me ever.
Im very drunk so feel free to ignore this.
I love that theres a place i can be drunk as hell at 12.18 and no one ill care or judge me at all. you people are awsome

Why post it publicly for all to see if he just wanted to apologize to those two people? It could have been kept in private messages and not open to discussion by the peanut gallery, nor would there be people scrambling off to find the post that got him banned. Posting this stuff on the board for everyone to see is just a way to get people to go "awwww, look he's sorry! Let him back in... come on..."
As an alternative, I'm sure it's not very hard to get Shrmeoighsomething's number, nor would it be hard to do a three-way connection with someone who has it and hangs up when you connect if she didn't want Toxi to have it. Apologizing publicly on the board is a great way to gain sympathy from everyone, but calling her and apologizing to her personally with no fanfare would have shown real remorse.

It was a mean, nasty and stupid thing for him to say but it takes some minerals to apologise.

So he appologized. So what, he should have, it's the very least he could do. I have said stupid things in a blackout that I have yet to be forgiven for, even though I don't remember doing it. Just because someone appologizes doesn't mean shit Is it any different than those people that do stupid things, then say "i didn't mean it, I'm sorry, I'm checking into rehab." Sure, give him props for his "sorry" and the woman he hurt with his words can do what she wants with it. In the end, her forgiveness is all that matters.
