Nice haul, Patchez! Cool that you could take a little bit of the place with you. Though I gotta say, the asymmetry of that pentagon table irks me OCD tendencies.
Plans are to put it in the corner of the breakfast nook and still be able to seat three.
Brilliant!

The temps got into the low 40's today, which is good for Minnesota in February. I was outside for an hour, throwing snowballs for my dog. Mind you, I took a break to make additional cocktails cuz I just can't throw snowballs for an hour without liquid refreshment. All in all, it was a damn good day. The dog was happy, I skipped out on an hour of work so my coworkers were pissed, and, at the end of it, I had a buzz so I didn't give a shit.

I spent all day sitting around bullshitting with my coworkers. I'm six-months out from retiring, so I don't have any work to speak of. Then, I convinced a couple of them to leave work early with me for beers at the pavilion. I don't have any work scheduled until April... and then, it's for one day.

I like the italicized work. Sounds like me as I also work but as a full time malingerer. It can be quite exhausting at times. I told my coworkers I was going home (to drink) because I finished up my W.E.N.U.S and A.N.U.S*** reports and they believe me because they don't know exactly what it is I actually do there. Like Chandler from "Friends". It works.

After having been retired for almost four years now, I've almost forgotten what it was that I used to do for a living!

A cashier cutie in her 20s flirted with me. I felt like a dirty old man. :|

You are the laziest bums I`ve ever met. Drink doesn`t grow on trees.

It grows in liquor-stores and bars.

Damn! I Wish you were on my team. I'd happily celebrate your six-month out retirement.

Well ... as long as it is at the local dive bar.

Last night in a nutshell: offered to shovel snow from the patio at the bar (the bartender is a sweet, old lady with a bad back). Came back in to find 2 free drink chips waiting for me unexpectedly. It's little things like this that remind you, whether you like it or not, you're still part of the human race.

I got up and, for umpteenth time, tried to exorcise my demons. As usual, I failed. Then I ate some breakfast, eggs and sausage omelet with smoked gouda cheese, plus 2 cups of Columbian coffee, and decided I would not die today, so I went to the grocery, after stocking my fridge with a 30, and now I am drinking Stoli. Long live the Russians! They may be our enemy but they make damn good vodka!

Have you tried the crushed pineapple Stoli? Delicious. And it works for breakfast, too.
