I should like to be drinking some ridiculously retro girly drink. Like, a Pink Squirrel. But I'd have to put on nylons and a girdle, and tease my hair and put on some lipstick qne false eyelashes, and put Jackie Gleason on the old record player. (Well, that bit I can do.)

Very true. Theyve run out of Carlsberg Special at my local offy, so I had to get 8.6. Ive had Tennents Super, pride of Scotland etc. That does a similar job.

Tennent's super is actually made in England by a different company to Tennent's. there's a fun fact for you
