This is a very interesting cocktail and highly potent. It is responsible for many blackouts. They used to mix these at the old Studio Cafe in Newport Beach on the peninsula.

Adios Mother recipe
1 oz vodka
1 oz gin
1 oz white rum
1 oz Blue Curacao liqueur
6 oz sweet and sour mix
6 oz 7-Up® soda

Add vodka, gin, white rum and blue curacao to an ice-filled hurricane glass. Fill the glass with equal parts sour mix and 7-Up, garnish with a cherry, and serve.

The original version of this drink (Adios Mother Fucker) contains tequila too. It was a variation of the Long Island Iced Tea. The "Adios" is, of course, Spanish... hence the Tequila.

I'm not sure why so many recipes have omitted this important ingredient.

When I see people drink this cocktail, I usually take a mental note that I am watching someone get a hangover... it's more than a "goodbye" to undrunkenness, it's a goodbye to the ability to function during the following day.
