Just poured the Laphroig quarter-cask at the end of the night for the short sail ahead.

Got tired of the fine bourbon, as fine as it is, burning a whole in my gullet. So, I've turned to Smirnoff vodka, the king of the bottom shelf. It's a great mixer especially if you throw garnish in the mix. A little vermouth, ice and fat cucumber slices. Really tasty and nutritious.

Johnnie Walker's Red label. I know it's bitter, but that's the way it is supposed to be. Love it!

Right now, it's a G &T with a splash of my own homemade lime cordial. I learned to make it myself on Sunday, along with simple syrup. It' s a great companion to a pastrami and Swiss on wheat bread with Heinz 57 and mustard. Enjoying my second vacation week!
