Doh. Jesus I'm tired. Being undrunk and sleep deprived is no fun. And no end in sight.Agaveman wrote:You forgot Elijah Craig.Subourbonite wrote:Traditional-tasting bourbons:
Wild Turkey Russell's Reserve - Lowest distillation proof, very flavourful in a corn / char / tobacco kind of way
Knob Creek
Buffalo Trace
Elmer T. Lee
Eagle Rare 101 or Single Barrel
Old Grand Dad Bottled-in-bond (100 proof) or 114 proof - High in rye
Old Forester bottled-in-bond (100 proof) (Brown-Forman, sue me, it's much better than TJD)
"Smooth" bourbons:
Evan Williams Single Barrel - Very light, good for bourbon novice
Old Charter Proprietor's Reserve - High corn content, flavourful but smooth
Four Roses Single Barrel (if you can find it - limited to KY and overseas now)
Woodford Reserve (yes yes it's Brown-Forman, sue me)
Wheated bourbons:
W.L. Weller Centennial or W.L. Weller 12 yr old
Premium bourbons:
George T Stagg (If you can find it - new Spring release coming out around now)
Pappy 15 or Pappy 20 (also wheated, but belong more in the premium category)
Rock Hill Farms
Blanton's
Not one of these bourbons has disappointed
Agaveman is very right - Elijah Craig is great stuff, either the 12 yr or the 18 yr.
