Any Bob Mould Fans Drinking Tonight?

Post by vtjim »

Hey Drunkards... I'm sitting here listening to Body of Song and getting progressively plowed. Just wondering if anybody else likes Bob.

I joke with my wife that I want to have his baby.

I saw him live here in Vermont a couple of years ago and I wish he'd come back for another show. Sigh.

If not, don't pay any attention to me. I'm the weird guy dancing in the corner...

I'd consider myself a fan of Husker Du over Bob Mould's solo work, but that won't stop me from having a drink with you regardless. He's done some great work both in and out of that band, Sugar included. As a side note, I love that he made The Daily Show's theme song "Dog on Fire". Cheers.

Cheers! I'm a fan of all of his stuff, not just solo.

His latest album (Body of Song) is almost a walk through all of his styles, so it's pretty good.

I'll go from Husker to Sugar to Bob solo, depending on my mood. :)

I thought that you could have his baby, in today's age.

I like Bob, and I like Husker, and I like Minneapolis even more. In that order reversed, because I am vey drunk now.
Wine in the mornin', and some breakfast at night.
Well, I'm beginning to see the light.

Not a huge fan, but I appreciate Husker Du and quite enjoyed Black Sheets of Rain many moons ago, until I lost my copy.

A very very gifted songwriter. I've listened to Husker ever since 'Land Speed Record' and have a couple of Bob's solo works. Very underappreciated.

I was always more or a Grant Hart fan, but I likes Bob too. The album Candy Apple Grey is a masterpiece.

Zen Arcade is the best of their early stuff. I think Candy Apple is the best of their later, more polished stuff. There are some really good songs on Warehouse too.

Noted. So I need more Husker and Bob. My CDs-to-buy list just grow and grows.

And yes, I do still buy CDs.
