If you booze with Gatorade, say, vodka and Gatorade or Everclear and Gatorade, do you break even, hydration-wise? Honestly it is the finest hydration tool around, although I really want to learn how to give myself an IV.

i....dont know,...it dosent have much, if any, of a B vitamin complex so it wont help metabolize the alcohol meaning it shouldnt take more drink to get drunk. as for hydration....hmm sounds like experament time to me.

I was just thinking...if you drink boozed Gatorade all night, how would you feel in the morning? And what's this B-vitamin complex? I remember reading that B vitamins were good for the liver.

It definitely helps with hangover ick. Hydrating always aids in that, like drinking water along with booze. It's more of a short-term feelgood. B vitamins, along with milk thistle, assist in long term liver health.

I've never noticed it to be that big a help, but that might be because I was going to town on a handle of cheap vodka. It always felt like to me that I'd be better off just drinking the gatorade before bed in one sitting. Though of course it couldn't hurt no matter when you drink it.

this thread reminds me of my first days of drinking, 7th grade.. we were sniffin round my dads bar. he had the massive multi-gallon jug of j&b that was on a rocker thingy so you could just tilt and pour. we tried shots of that and puked.

next we hit the creame de menth which was tasty but we all but polished that after a few days.

after that we went to beefeater and gatorade. it didnt taste too good , but man, i swear after reading this thread i can still taste it!!

I'd say that the rehydrating properties of said elixer only kick in after the booze stops being mixed.

I've always like to drink my vodka with a side chaser of Gatorade. Not sure if it helps with hydration though when actively drinking. I also wanted to learn how to give myself a nice IV drip. :D
