Which Whiskey?

There are lot of whiskies I've been meaning to try, my favorite being Jim Beam Rye. Since I cannot make up my mind I decided to make a poll to help me make up my mind. I've narrowed it down to these: Old Crow, Ten High, Beam's Straight Star and Black Cock.

i don't even drink whiskey. any type. i hate it.
i like brandy and rum.
voddy and gin aint bad along with tequila but those are second to brandy and rum

although i'd have to say the actual second to brandy and rum are bitters and pastis. so i guess that would make voddy, gin, and tequila third.

As I've only had Old Crow and Ten High, I'll say stick with the Ten High. It tastes better than the old crow in my opinion. Plus Ten High is smooth for being a $10 handle of hooch

You can get Beam Black.

I've wanted to try Beam Black but its a bit on the pricey side. And the only place I've seen it is at the discount liquor place. For whatever reason it costs more then all the other varieties of Beam.

I buy it at Marketview Liquor at Tops Plaza on Jefferson, or Century Liquor on West Ridge Road. It will be pricier than the White. It's worth it.

Because it is better.

Edit: i don't know about where you are, but there are at least two different ages of Beam (white) and I believe two of Black, also and they all have different prices. There might be some difference in proofs, also.

I buy it at Marketview Liquor at Tops Plaza on Jefferson, or Century Liquor on West Ridge Road. It will be pricier than the White. It's worth it.

I go to marketview as well cause a bottle of Beam at the store near my house is like $21.80...same size bottle at Marketview: $14.99.
