Love that, but "13" his cover of Danzig's tune strikes a cord with me as well.

One Piece At A Time. That was my favorite when I was little. My dad is a huge Cash fan and that one always made me laugh. Second is definitely Cocaine Blues.

'Hurt'. It's the first song of his I ever properly listened to and now it's started something horribly close to an addiction.

Highway Patrolman
San Quenton
Ain't No Good Chain Gang
Cocaine Blues

Hell the entire Murder album, I'd cut off Folsom Prison Blues (over played) and Mr. Garfield.

His covers of rock songs ("Hurt", "Personal Jesus", "Rusty Cage") intrigue me, but that has as much to do with the changes in his voice as he got older and more ill. I think his choices of tunes to cover are what impress me as much as anything...

From his older playbook, I might have to go with June and him singin' some "Jackson".

But it's not like you're gonna go wrong with too much of his stuff...

Tough call...Folsom Prison Blues, The Ballad of Ira Hayes, and One Piece at a Time are a couple faves...but a Boy Named Sue is another classic Cash tune (even if he didn't write it).
