All I wanted was Bacon
Rolled in for breakfast at the local diner at noon, and ordered eggs, home fries and bacon. Apparently it was too much to ask as the waitress came back after a minute and told me that they had run out of Bacon. ??????? I was incredulous! How could you run out of Bacon??? "Bacon"?? Ham is good but not the same.
Drink your fucking drink, how about that? Stop the fuckin' presses, isn't it genius??

this is unaceptable. Do we live in communist china.? are we out of bread? they should have immediatley sent a courier in search of bacon. across sea or land or possibly across the street to the corner store. they should have hired hunting parties to track a wild boar. I am personally outraged, outraged and eating bacon.

Good call on Bonnie but I'm sure you would have liked it to accompany the other breaky items. We went to a "Mexican" place a couple of nights ago - they ran out of corn chips.Mayhem wrote:Came so very close to doing that, but Bonnie reminded me that there's Bacon at home.BeerMakesMeSmart wrote:I would have burned that place to the ground.

Last night for dinner, and today for lunch, I had meatloaf wrapped in bacon. Fan-freaking-stastic.
Here's the recipe:
A basic meatloaf with bacon and rosemary.
INGREDIENTS:
2 pounds lean ground beef
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 teaspoon dried leaf thyme, crumbled
1/4 teaspoon dried leaf rosemary, crumbled
3 slices bacon, halved crosswise
PREPARATION:
Mix ground beef, salt, pepper, eggs, bread crumbs, milk, Worcestershire, onion, thyme, and rosemary. Pack into a lightly greased loaf pan or form into a loaf pan or form into a loaf and place on a lightly greased baking sheet with sides, such as a jelly roll pan. Top meatloaf with sliced bacon and bake at 350° for 1 hour. If desired, serve meatloaf with heated tomato sauce or gravy.
And garlic mashed potatoes.

If I had a nickel for every time I drank too much, I'd buy another case.
