san diego fires

I think the worst is over, as the weather has cooperated today. 190 and I were never in any kind of danger, as we live amongst the ultra-paved of San Diego proper - little to burn. My company was closed for 2 1/2 days which was a smallish, if cabin-fevered, vacation. Back to work tomorrow, joy that it is. Cheers all, and thanks for the well-wishes. :)

we came back yesterday and all is well. we are still in the evacuation zone, but it is not really being enforced.

wife is takin the chilies up to her folks place in los altos till helloween so the wee ones can play outside and shizz. ill be holdin down the fort here.

The air cleared up here a lot today but I'm on the coast so it'll get better here first. The scary part is pretty much over. *raises glass*
