Folks,

Anyone else familiar with this wonderful website - http://www.oliverreed.net - for my most favourite and entertaining boozer, Oliver Reed?

From reading all the stories there, he really is an inspiration; he knew no boundaries and certainly did it his own way and with style!

I hoisted more than a few in a bar in Malta that was "allegedly" the last place he got lit up before passing on... Cool place. Like Malta in general.

There's very few of his type acting today.
Most "stars" seem sedate and even bucolic by the standards set forth by Reed, Harris, O'Toole and Caine.
I guess you could throw Connery in with that lot, maybe.

The onlyone i can think of that may come close is Russell Crowe. But I may be wrong.

I really like Oliver Reed.. I was looking for biographical stuff on him about a year ago, and one of the most comprehensive websites was a pay-for-access website.. What a bunch of crock!! Now I can't find that website..

"The Devils" is an awesome movie. He really did a lot of edgy films. Definitely one of my favorite drunk English actors. I like O'Toole ok, and the rest.
