I know what a "dive" truly is.

I worked there, my sporting club frequented it and it went bust.

Australia's nanny-state laws don't technically allow you to buy doubles, but this place used to let me bomb myself with a $20 Saturday night special with 1 shot gin, tequila, contraiueueue.., vodka and bitters, served on ice and with any clear mixer.

Drink up and salute all great dives with me.

Sometimes you get these arseholes, 18 year old girly men and girls who couldn't drink from a thimble and can't keep away from the peroxide and eyeliner but "Responsible Service of Alcohol" somehow gives them all kinds of other worldly powers to judge what you can drink before inevitable harm befalls you.

If you aren't familiar with such silliness, stay at the bar you drink in.

I have a RSA certificate. The only place I have been to where they don't sell doubles is most bowling/RSL clubs. I don't really like blacking out with all those old people around so I dont drink there anyway.

funny in hawaii 2x or 3x are standard for locals on average i pay for 1 of 3 drinks by staying in my peeps i assume all the pacific works on the bro system
