Re: FAVORITE BEER (high-end/low-end)?
Couldn't really answer on the high end. Once I make up my mind to buy some quality I usually let the store's stock speak to me.
In the mid ranges, I like Labatt's Blue and Pacifico.
Usually, though, my everyday is Old Style.

What's the info on the Bells Oberon? I'm not familiar with it.

I drink many but my preference are St. Pauli Girl, Landshark, and either Bass Ale or Yeungling on draft. I will drink the high Life on a budget and Guiness when I'm in the mood for something stouter. 90% of the time, my beer will be accompanied by a shoitglass of Jim Beam or Jameson's in the opposing hand.

Bell's is a brewery in Kalamazoo, MI and they make a wheat beer only during April/august called Oberon. It is the spiritual start of spring here. People make trips to the brewery to drink from the first kegs. I'm not sure how far outside of Michigan you can get it. It is delicious though.

My current "high-end" is Cru D'or from North Coast Brewing. It isn't that expensive but its damn tasty, and its 8.0%. I dont realy care that its organic, im no hippy or health nut, I just tried it because i like Belgian style beers.

As stated, Larry Bell has developed his own yeast strains and hops, including some wild strains from my neck of the woods. Totally dedicated to his craft. Plus, home brewers can use his unpasturized beer as a starter for home brew.ScottTheo wrote:Bell's is a brewery in Kalamazoo, MI and they make a wheat beer only during April/august called Oberon.
