Not when I can avoid it, but in the past I ran after a few chicken to improve our MREs, and I am positive: the best chicken is the one you marinate with lemon water and herbs and then grill on the red breezes when you've been eating cans for a week. The mere smell can make you cry.

And that day is Sunday. I don't know what it is, but from when I wake up Sunday, to when I lay my head down, all I want is a drink in my hand. Casual cocktails throughout the afternoon. Beers mixed throughout. occasionally a wine with dinner. Something about Sunday just feels right to aquire that warming buzz, and keep it all into the night time hours.



Does anyone else share these sentiments?

I dig. For some reason, though, when I drink on Sundays,(always) I wake up about 4:00 AM om Monday morning, and can't go back to sleep. That there is a pisser.

It happens every damn week. I think it's a mental, Monday anxiety thing.

Oh well, Ill be drinkin' those slow afternoon cocktails with you, tomorrow!

Exact same thing for me. I wake up at a 3 or 4 am and if I do get back to sleep it's the horrible restless sleep that is more exhausting then restful. I always look like a wreck when I get to the office.

i work at a bar on sunday nights. it's one of my favourite shifts
although i probably tend to get a lot more weirdos in on that night i also get a ton of regulars.
i really like the feeling of people trying to grasp desperately at the last threads of their weekends

Fully agree, I bartend on Sunday nights. I even gave up my Friday night shift to take over Sunday because the regulars always come in and a lot of them work in bars so the tips are great.

I fully agree that there are a lot of weirdos on Sundays too though. Last Sunday I had to turn away a girl who came in crying about how her boyfriend stole her credit card and siphoned the gas out of her car. I remember when I was younger the first couple of sob stories I heard actually moved me to help people, but after working in bars for almost 10 years now I'm just insanely sick of people lying and trying to take advantage of me.

I work 12 straight hours on sunday, the first 2 of them with a hangover from saturday. Then I withdrawal, finally feel better right when I make it home and it's time for more drinking

I likes my Sundays too. Afternoon in my local, sink a few and talk crap. Then dinner and a nap. Then out for the night for drinks and live music (which is often laughably bad). A nice, relaxing day.
Monday mornings are a fucker, though.
