Baker's 107 is a step below Booker's, and a step above Knob Creek. Pretty good company it keeps.
it also makes me need a 6 hour nap in the afternoon, apparently

I just bought and sampled a bottle of Old GrandDad 114. I am happy to report it is excellent! I wish it was stocked locally, but a 10 mile drive to get it isn't too bad. Total Wine is a great liquor store, and despite the name they have lots of good bourbon.

Is Total Wine a national chain? There's a Total Wine down in Delaware, that's why I'm asking.

I believe it is. I live near Ft. Lauderdale and we have 2 stores. My brother lives in Jacksonville and there is one near him. They have great prices.

It's at least regional. There was a Total Wine in Columbia, SC. I think I paid for the owner's houseboat.

I would love to try some Beam Black once.

Good Bourbon, like Pappy, is great.

Bad Bourbon makes me wretch worse than a nora virus.

As I mentioned, I really like the Old Grand-Dad 114. The next time I go to a good liquor store is there something you'd recommend that is as good or better then OGD114?

Seriously. OGD 114 is the bomb. If I was ever in a coma (or even if I wasn't) I'd want OGD114 in an intravenous injection.

As I've stated, I love OGD 114. The only problem is that it is hard to find. Does anyone have a high-proof bourbon alternative (over 1o1 proof)?

I found a new liquor store that's nearby and cheaper than all the others in the area. Thank you free market economy! Now I can get a 1.75 L bottle of Wild Turkey 101 for only a few bucks more than the 750 ml costs at the local Publix liquor store. Life is good...got a 3 day weekend to enjoy. Thanks to you, members of the tribe.

Yeah that stuff is great. Beam only puts their name on good bourbons. Well, except for that Red Stag atrocity.
