That, to me, is the painful part of this boycott. I have no problems avoiding TJD, but Woodford Reserve is really, really tasty.

Brown-Forman screwed with Early Times, as well. It used to be a Bourbon, but now it's "Kentucky Whiskey", due to around 20% of it being aged in used, rather than new, charred oak barrels.

You know what? If I actually liked JD I would drink it -- boycott or no -- because my freedom of choice and personal drinking pleasure comes before other's opinions. However, I've honestly never liked JD (he said smugly).

So, if you like Woodford Reserve, you should drink it when the mood strikes you.

Appleton Estate, eh?

No wonder I've always hated that rum. Funny, because aside from Appleton, and a bottle of dirt cheap rum I picked up in Mexico, I've never met a rum I didn't like....

Thanks for the list.
The cabin sits shut-down, cold-frozen and empty, dead mice in the traps, waiting for me to drink alone there in the dark.

Which one did you try Two Hearted? The V/X is meh, but the 12 YR Old, Legacy, and the 21 YR Old are all great Rums. When I can find them, I drink'em.

yikes. the hbe gift i sent is on the black list. my biggest holiday season faux pas since the pine tar incident involving a 2nd cousin and her cashmere sweater. i meant well but was ignorant of the politics in both cases. i hope the thought still counts.

Pretty easy for me to stay away from that list, although drunkenness comes before convictions so I'm sure I'll probably forget and buy a bottle of Early Times if I ever see it on sale at the local booze-atorium.

It is with this sentiment in mind that I will continue drinking Herradura. Cheaper/better than Patron and the bottle looks nifty. Now, I don't drink a lot of tequila, so it will be dissention in name only. The rest of those things can go hang.

AND ALSO

Doesn't it just figure that Brown-Foreman owns Korbel, the internationally reviled proponent of "it doesn't matter where the grapes come from"? It'd be like calling brandy made in Australia Cognac, or mezcal grown in Mongolia Tequila. Fucking frauds is what they are. I will gladly uphold that boycott (and it tastes like shit too.)

HA-HA!

Legendary SoCal lifter Chuck Ahrens (my AV pic subject) turns 75 this year, God bless him.

Here's a couple more shots (the dumbbells weigh 160lbs each; the girl goes @ 105). (Chuck also says "NO!" to Brown-Forman)

What has caused you to go on this picture posting binge? I'm just wondering...
