The Wall: Hope you meet Barca & MOL

Post by Badfellow »

When, at long last, you finally hit the Wall, and you certainly shall,
One would hope to be amongst friends and, dearly dare I say,
Drunkards of Honor.

Case in point, my dearest Barca & MOL.

Who, but the idiot Badfellow on his vacation (drinking all day Thursday thrust forth on an empty stomach) would trust his ward to anyone else in such disarray?

Who else but Barca would haul me up from the mucky bar floor (by the drag tag) after my legs physically failed (they hurt like a burnin fuckin napalm Hanoi Jane Fonda work-out for 4 days after the fact; lactic acid muscle build-up = poor metabolism of mass booze)? And that this gentleman paid to have my vehicle driven home after smartly snatching the keys. Who else, indeed?

I am in debt. Truly. Thank you, fine Drunkards.

Hope, please hope, you dear fucking witless morons, that you have friends like this.
The quality of their character
Cannot be quantified in prose
Nor poetry
Nor the most eloquent of liquored-up diatribes.

Gratitude.

How lucky you are to have been in the company of such truly noble drunkards.

good people to throw a good drunk on with for sure.
You see in this world there are two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

We've all been on both sides of the crutch. We've been the blessed guardian angels and been blessed by our guardian angel friends. Part of the beauty that allows us to continue the pursuit of fine drunkardom. The cycle continues. It's a beautiful thing.

They obviously like you better than me. They made me honk at the cop who swung a U-turn in front of us.

I'm pretty sure I've heard a far different version of that story, from Batman no less!

I have "drinking w/ MDM Minnesotans" on my list of things to-do in my lifetime.. That would certainly include the MOL and badfellow and barca.. (already drank w/ oggar but since we don't remember most of it, we'll have to do it again)

I'm pretty sure that he threw up 7 Tom Collins on the floor in front of the bar that night.

That doesn't make him wrong, mind you.

Never get married. It's cheaper to buy a house every ten years and give it to some woman you hate...
