On a double date with Warren and Jill, and me and my Lady, I bought us a round of that Bulleit rye, the green label. Neat, but with a couple drops of good water to open up the surface tension. I've been debating entering into rye simply because it's become hipster and I don't follow trends.

Initial taste is pepper. It's smooth, because it's Bulleit. No heartburn. Just a bit of a gunpowder sort of thing.

On the way back to their place for more drinks (and lower than restaurant prices) we stopped at a corner store and got a few bottles of booze. The Bulleit Eye was one of them.

The rest of the evening, the rye gave me a good time. But I think I'll stick to pure bourbon for everyday nips. Rye is it's own thing, and it takes over the conversation it's forcing upon you.

Do you drink the bloodys while chllling-out also? I mean, not just for breakfast and dinner?
I did that back in the day, but in the end needed a drink more "awake". Vodka lemon was my first choice
