Stella Artois in a slim 12-oz can. Very nice, it's the first time I've ever had a Stella. It was $20 at the liquor store for a 12-pack, a bit rich for this menial laborer, but I'm celebrating. Later tonight I will be pouring Knob Creek 9-Year Single Barrel Reserve to go along with it.
Patchez gifted me a couple of shotties he bottled himself.
Double oak Barrelled Woodford Reserve 45.2% ABV. That's definitely a sipper. Salivating as I await the crackening tonight.
#2 is the "Infinite Barrel Project begun on 4-19-2018. Friggin 117.5 proof. Gawdammah, that will be the opening sip of a session. Savor these both. No damned mixers! I'll hunt ya down and slap you crossed eyed, you Hipster mixer types.
After several nights in a row of BnW (Beer and Whiskey) I'm getting back to my wine roots. Franzia Chillable Red. This bender has been going for a week now, and I woke up this morning after two hours sleep and thought I should skip the booze today. But lying on the couch all day and reading stories has revived me. Let's keep the party going. (Although, I would like to sleep tonight.)
There we go - that sweet feeling of inebriation. This is what we want.
But right now - I also want to have a good cry. That's the thing - don't go for a cry when you are in a bad mood. You'll just get bummed out. When things are going good - that's the time to settle in and have a good cry. I still have a couple of days to go no this bender - so I think I can indulge in a good cry right now. The Disturbed version of Sound of Silence is best for a good cry. Although, Joey by Concrete Blond can get it done, too. But right now I want that big, bald belter to take me away. Disturbed, here we come.
cold red wine sounds like such a weird thing to me...
i'm drinking big bomber bottles of various euro lagers. they all taste fucking awesome. something about that first ice cold beer after work (or during) that is just absolutely magic.
0 degrees on my back step right now as well so they're plenty cold.
