I'm drinking Kraken black spiced rum. It's my favorite thing. Neat. From the neck. I take a wee dream and gargle it. It clears the nasal passages and the throat.
I immediately and always follow it with a chaser of Kraken. I gargle that too. It gives a lovely burn at 94 proof. It tastes like Saturday morning-sit-on-your-arse-with-a-big-bowl-of-Count-Chocula-cereal-just-in-time-for-cartoons-snd-toy-commercials.

I like to think that I would have drunk Kraken back then if I knew about it.

I feel your pain. Several of my favorite bottles have had price jumps in the past decade (Jameson, Lagavulin).

But even if they double the price of Kentucky Deluxe, it will still be cheap as hell!

Expensive stuff goes back to the shelf and the sail for the Island strts as we hit the tradewinds. Heaven Hill's lovely and cheap Mellow corn. !/3 of the bottle was left. Now left for dead. at 23 bucks a handle when I can find it and Bottled in Bond so you know it 100 proof. Shit gets you there.
